Tommy Gober is a Curriculum Design Specialist with the National Integrated Cyber Education Research Center based in Bossier City, Louisiana. He is currently a doctoral candidate with the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley studying Education Technology, especially Education Robotics and their efficacy in STEM curricula.
Tommy is a Texas certified teacher and holds a Masters degree in Instructional Technology from Texas A&M University at Texarkana, a Bachelors degree in Education and Computer Science from LeTourneau University as well as an Associates degree in Computer Science from Lee College.
Tommy has over 10 years of experience in the computer industry where he has worked for companies such as AMD and as a defense contractor for the Defense Logistics Agency. Tommy has a wide variety of hobbies, but most revolve around electronics. He enjoys programming, web development, programming microcontroller projects and is an active ham radio operator with the callsign N5DUX.
Tommy is a CompTIA Certified Technology Trainer (CTT+), is certified in the four major MS Office applications as a Microsoft Office Specialist as well as a Microsoft Certified Trainer and a Microsoft Certified Educator. He is also a Google Apps for Education certified trainer.
